From a moviegoer’s perspective, the 2026 horror year offers pace and range. A Promising 2026

There is brand equity where it matters, original vision where it matters, and a calendar that shows studios get how and when audiences want scares. The awards and festival pipeline into 2027 will come into focus once the fall festivals lock, and it would not be surprising to see at least one last-minute boutique pickup join the party. For now, the job is simple, deliver taut trailers, preserve the surprise, and let the shudders sell the seats.
